Responsibilities

• Research and develop new sustainable materials and products aligned with business goals in collaboration with the Operations Manager and the HGS R&D team.
• Improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize profitability.
• Implement new process technologies for materials and products based on company expectations and operational guidelines.
• Initiate research into new techniques and materials to support the factory and the broader deSter product range, ensuring coordination with external suppliers and internal teams.
• Propose and manage new development and investment programs in cooperation with the Operations Manager, focusing on cost-saving initiatives.
• Lead projects with clear timeframes, deliverables, and targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering field (Materials, Chemical, Industrial, Automation, or related).
• At least 3 years of R&D experience in the food packaging service industry, particularly in fiber processing, bagasse pulp, or biodegradable pulp technologies.
• Knowledge of different plastic and non-plastic materials.
• Proficiency in engineering and R&D processes, including testing with machines and molds.
• Additional skills in automation engineering and AutoCAD are advantageous.
• Strong project management, strategic planning, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
