About the Role

The CAD/BIM Technician will be responsible for carrying out 3D modelling and drafting of structures under the supervision of a Structural Engineer or a Project Manager. You will support and have the opportunity to participate in Egis projects being implemented on a global basis.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D models and 2D drawings of reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and steel structures, including general and detailed drawings
• Take instructions from the Structural Engineer and create high-quality 3D models and technical drawings
• Use CAD and BIM tools to produce models and drawings following general and project drawing standards
• Produce and manage CAD and BIM files in a Document Management System (DMS) environment
• Develop programs for CAD/BIM automated production
• Work with a design team and individually on CAD/BIM projects and review models with engineers to make required adjustments
• Attend internal technical meetings with engineers and other draftsmen
• Ensure quality of modelling and drafting deliverables and comply with the company’s Safety Policy and Quality Management System

Scope of works includes (but is not limited to):

• Bridge and viaduct structures
• Elevated station structures
• Port structures
• Track work
• Other civil structures

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Civil or Structural Engineering (mandatory)
• Diploma in BIM modelling and design (preferred)
• CAD Professional Certification
• Proven experience in structural projects as a BIM modeller or drafter

Additional Information

• Appetency for bridge and structure modelling and drafting
• Knowledge of software such as Revit is a plus
• Appetency for programming and use of related tools
• Basic understanding of structural design, materials and construction processes
• Good reasoning and a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work in an international context – good level of English (speaking & writing)
• Ability to work under pressure with a good working attitude and collaboratively in a team environment
