About the Role

Contexte et environnement

TotalEnergies has set an ambitious target of reaching 100 GW of renewable generation capacity by 2030. Within this ambition, the Distributed Generation Business Unit (DG), which has already signed 2,2GW of projects worldwide, aims to contribute to 6GW by 2030.

TotalEnergies Renewables Distributed Generation (DG), created in 2019 as a fully owned subsidiary of TotalEnergies SE, develops, finances, builds, and operates industrial and commercial solar PV systems worldwide. Typical projects range from 1 MW to 20 MWp, based on an onsite self consumption (Power Purchase Agreement “PPA”) model, with possible integration of battery storage solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully execute projects in a timely manner, as per the agreed specifications, in the allocated budget, and with 100% compliance to TTE requirements and HSE standards.
  • Lead the project managers team and report hierarchically to the local Country Manager and transversally to the Regional Technical Manager.
  • Client management: optimize client communication during project execution, execute the Project in compliance with PPA requirements (e.g. Condition Precedent), hold regular progress meetings with client, and manage site completion and acceptance on Commercial Operation (COD) with client.
  • EPC management: optimize CAPEX to align with local market prices and DG guidelines; manage EPC tender, review BOM, select EPC; ensure approvals of engineering documents with Engineering Center prior to execution; ensure building structure and rooftop compliance with TotalEnergies guidelines before construction; prepare and ensure EPC contract internal approvals on time and within budget; manage EPC contract lifecycle (due diligence, negotiation, budget & closing); ensure contractor compliance with legislation and Company HSE requirements; ensure EPC bonds quality and validity for execution and 2-year DLP; review contractors' method statements for compliance; manage EPC delay LD and project hand over; process permitting and license documents on time with EPC and authorities; manage EPC monthly budget and ensure execution within approved budget in local currency; ensure update of as-built documentation and alignment with O&M and Engineering Center prior to handover; evaluate EPC performance after execution; ensure site inspections for safety and quality; identify and qualify new EPC contractors; ensure full compliance with Company Technical & HSE referential and standards.
  • O&M management: coordinate handover with local O&M team before project completion; ensure full project handover documentation, PR tests and as-built PV system are provided on time; facilitate O&M team for troubleshooting during defects liability period.
  • General: engage with Engineering Center to ensure designs are optimized for actual site conditions; anticipate and act on potential execution challenges; ensure projects are covered by active insurance per TotalEnergies standards; manage projects in full compliance with HSE and technical specifications; ensure permits and approvals are obtained on time for construction, commissioning and start of operations; update and manage activities through company project management tools; interact with APAC Hub/HQ to share best practices and improve execution efficiency; drive CAPEX reduction and ensure efficient internal handovers (Sales to PM, PM to O&M); coordinate with Finance, accounting, procurement & O&M on invoice issuance, COD, COC; act as a collaborative member of regional PM Team Leads and country team; support and coach country Project Managers; manage recruitment, onboarding and performance evaluation of project managers.

Qualifications

  • Holds an engineering degree (mechanical or electrical), preferably a master in energy or related field.
  • Min. 10 years of experience in rooftop solar projects execution with proven track record across project lifecycle from bidding to operations.
  • Rigor, zero compromise with HSE deviation and holds work at height certificate.
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills; ability to handle complex situations and work under pressure; organized, proven autonomy and ability to prioritize tasks and initiatives.
  • Ability to travel as assigned.
  • Knowledge of engineering and solar specific softwares (Helioscope, Meteonorm, PVSyst) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required).
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
  • Leadership experience in managing a diverse team.
