Senior Staff Specialist Procurement

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies aligned with business, quality, and cost objectives.
• Manage supplier onboarding and selection processes, including supplier qualification and evaluation for both local and overseas suppliers.
• Develop contingency (Plan B) sourcing strategies to minimize supply chain risks for automotive-related operations.
• Support supplier transition and localization initiatives, including potential sourcing strategy shifts from Europe/Singapore to China.
• Support IATF audit requirements and ensure procurement-related documentation compliance.
• Utilize AI tools and digital solutions (e.g. Copilot) to improve sourcing efficiency, spare part management, and procurement operations.
• Drive cost efficiency initiatives through CCO (Clean Cost Optimization) and Total Cost analysis.
• Conduct market research and monitor commodity trends, including London Metal Exchange (LME), to support sourcing and pricing strategies and analyze/predict market price fluctuations.
• Identify root causes of supplier or quality issues and collaborate with Supplier Quality teams to implement corrective and preventive actions, handle supplier claims, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain process flexibility and support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supplier management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, or Engineering.
• Strong knowledge in market research, commodity analysis and pricing trend monitoring, including London Metal Exchange (LME).
• Strong knowledge in CCO (Clean Cost Optimization) and Total Cost analysis; experienced in cost analysis preferably using LME standards.
• Experience in strategic or operational procurement roles and in sourcing/localization strategies for raw material and manufacturing-related suppliers.
• Familiar with 8D methodology, quality issue handling, supplier corrective action management and claim handling processes.
• Understanding of IATF requirements and audit processes.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision making, strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, project management and interpersonal skills; ability to work well under pressure and independently.
• Good command of English in both written and verbal communication.
