Position: Automation Engineer

Department: Engineering

Location: Surat Thani, Thailand / Bangalore, India. Interplant travelling may require.

Employment type: Full-time, onsite.

Responsibilities

• PLC/HMI programming & development: develop, test, and program control logic (e.g., Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron) and human-machine interfaces (HMI) & SCADA; use AI tools to reduce human intervention and improve traceability and reliability.
• Design & documentation: create electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and technical documentation using CAD software.
• Troubleshooting & maintenance: diagnose and repair electrical issues in automated production lines to minimize downtime.
• Installation & commissioning: set up new machinery, conduct I/O checks, and ensure equipment complies with safety standards.
• System upgrades: analyze existing production systems, suggest efficiency improvements (Kaizen) and implement automation upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• 2–3 years' experience in similar industries.
• Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA, and HMI software.
• Ability to read and create electrical diagrams and schematics; experience with CAD for control panels.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, production teams, and management.
