Head of Group Technology Procurement

About the Role

Becoming the most admired regional financial technology group to unlock new value. SCBX is seeking an experienced professional to join the Technology Team as Head of Group Technology Procurement. This strategic leadership role reports to the Group CTO and is responsible for overseeing technology procurement across the group, driving cost savings, ensuring compliance, and building a high-performing procurement team. The role will lead the transformation from traditional procurement to AI-assisted and automated procurement practices and establish a future-ready procurement operations model, standards, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build a high-performing technology procurement team of 20+ professionals.
• Oversee procurement activities across the group, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Drive cost optimization and ensure compliance across all technology procurement initiatives.
• Develop and enhance the group procurement operations model, standards, and policies.
• Champion the adoption of AI and automation in procurement processes to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Establish a group-wide vendor management function to ensure strategic partnerships and performance.
• Manage strategic procurement initiatives and collaborate with the Head of General Procurement.
• Engage with multiple stakeholders across the group to ensure seamless procurement operations.
• Utilize Oracle FMS and other enterprise tools to support procurement activities and reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in procurement and process improvement within a group environment.
• Strong understanding of AI and automation technologies and their application in procurement.
• Experience with Oracle Financial Management System (FMS).
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
