Financial Controller Sales Company Parker Thailand

About the Role

Be a strategic and operational Financial Controller to lead our finance function in Thailand. This position covers three Parker businesses in Thailand (Parker Thailand Sales Company in Bangkok, Parker Veriflo manufacturing facility in Rayong, and Lord ASEAN group entities in Samut Prakan, Malaysia and Indonesia). Partner with the respective country management teams to drive profitable growth and oversee finance and accounting functions, internal controls and statutory requirements in accordance with Corporate policies, local regulatory requirements, US GAAP and local FRS. Other responsibilities include annual budgeting, regular forecasting, cash management, corporate governance, SOX compliance, business strategy planning and review of work processes to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Corporate, financial and internal control policies and procedures are followed; develop, implement and monitor local company policies/procedures.
• Act as business partner to management of the three businesses, providing business analysis, advice and support to Sales & Operation Manager and business leaders.
• Lead stakeholders to manage credit and collection risks and improve collection efficiency.
• Ensure integrity of financial accounts and reports.
• Manage accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial and management reporting.
• Responsible for annual budgeting, business planning and regular forecasting.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with Corporate policies, internal control procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley (including maintaining SOX documentation).
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act, corporate tax, indirect tax and other local regulations.
• Supervise the accounting team; provide leadership, guidance and staff development.
• Ensure proper costing and revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP.
• Manage company cash flow and assist in treasury activities, including liaising with bankers.
• Liaise with external auditors on statutory audits and coordinate tax preparation and tax agent communication for local and US tax reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or ACCA.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in the field, with at least 5 years as Controller or equivalent for a Thailand incorporated entity.
• Working experience in US or international MNC, preferably with industrial or manufacturing activities.
• Experience and good working knowledge of ERP systems (knowledge of JDE is an advantage).
• Proficient in local accounting standards, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Proficient in income tax and local taxes; experience dealing with the Board of Investment (BOI) Thailand.
• Key attributes: honesty, hands-on, independent, analytical, initiative, detail- and objective-driven.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills and English communication (written and verbal).
• Supervisory experience with ability to lead and motivate a team and balance local operational needs with corporate reporting requirements.
• High integrity and ability to push back on business stakeholders when necessary to maintain compliance.
