Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and component families; set appropriate inventory targets and lead inventory reduction actions.
• Follow up Master Production Schedule (MPS) achievement and propose preventive actions to ensure material availability for MPS realization.
• Plan raw material and component requirements based on Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) and MPS; anticipate impacts with suppliers and production.
• Validate and send weekly forecasts to suppliers and follow daily material arrivals to ensure suppliers ship parts on time according to firm orders.
• Measure Supplier Service Rate (SSR) per supplier and propose action plans to improve service level; meet supplier contacts regularly and propose logistics protocols.
• Communicate complete, precise and reliable information to supplier contacts; adapt communication method and frequency to the situation (preventative, curative, crisis).
• Identify blocking points, plan and follow up quick corrective actions; attend Logistics/Purchasing meetings and follow up related action plans.
• Support implementation of supply chain tools and methods (Pull flow, Kanban, EDI, Milk run) and define inbound transportation plans with the External Flow Analyst.
• Support inventory counting and work with ERP and inventory control analyst to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Alert sales and relevant internal stakeholders in case of crises, help define priorities, follow action plan progress and escalate when necessary.
• Ensure there is a trained backup for each supplier account and that coverage is communicated during absences/holidays.
