Cost Optimization Strategy Specialist - Last Mile, SPX Express

About the Role

Own and manage monthly budgeting, cost tracking, variance analysis, headcount planning, and forecasting to optimize last-mile operations and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage monthly budgeting, including cost tracking, variance analysis, headcount planning, and forecasting
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive initiatives to optimize last-mile cost structure, driver supply, productivity, and overall P&L
• Lead end-to-end projects to drive operational and cost optimization initiatives
• Analyze the performance of projects and initiatives, and effectively communicate key insights and outcomes to cross-functional stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in strategy, business planning, project management, operations, or data analysis
• Strong proficiency in data modeling using Google Sheets; experience with SQL is a plus
• Comfortable handling ad-hoc tasks and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
• Self-driven with a willingness to learn and improve
