Senior Analyst, Financial Institutions, Fitch Thailand

About the Role

Fitch Ratings (Thailand) Limited invites applications for the position of Financial Institutions, Senior Analyst to assess credit ratings of banks and non-bank financial institutions in Thailand and contribute to sector research and regional credit committee reviews.

Responsibilities

• Assess the credit ratings of banks and non-bank financial institutions in Thailand, applying Fitch’s quantitative and qualitative criteria
• Write and present rating reports for Fitch’s credit committee review
• Assist in research on industry developments and contribute to sector reports on financial institutions in Thailand
• Participate in regional credit committees to review other banking systems in Asia Pacific
• Communicate Fitch’s rating opinions to issuers, arrangers and investors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking, Economics, Finance or Statistics required; Master’s degree in a finance-related field or CFA preferred
• 5-10 years’ experience in fixed income or equity research, credit analysis or audit, with knowledge of the Thai bank sector and regulatory environment for financial institutions
• Familiarity with financial statement analysis of banks and non-bank financial institutions and ability to interpret complex financial data and draw well-supported conclusions
• Analytical report writing skills in English and ability to present analytical conclusions clearly and concisely
• Ability to communicate confidently in English and Thai
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a small team environment
