About the Role

Could you be the full-time Bid Technical Lead in Bangkok we’re looking for? You'll spearhead the engineering aspects of our tender processes, ensure seamless integration and communication with the core tender team, manage internal interfaces, and work closely with teams across the business such as Product Development and Project Management. You will oversee creation of technical documentation for tender submissions, analyse customer requirements, identify product gaps, define strategic solutions, and manage technical risks with robust action plans.

Responsibilities

• Functional management of the engineering team allocated to tenders
• Manage technical exchanges with customers and internal stakeholders
• Build the engineering proposal, including QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery)
• Establish and validate engineering commitments such as master planning, costing, and risk management
• Ensure alignment with the Site Engineering Director and Bid Manager on engineering assumptions
• Advocate a customer-oriented approach in all technical dealings

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a related field
• Experience or understanding of product architecture, operation, and performance within the rail industry
• Knowledge of train operation, maintenance, and design-to-cost principles
• Familiarity with the engineering development DFQ sequences and tender processes
• A certification in project or engineering management is advantageous
• Proven experience in engineering costing and risk assessment
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset; passion and attitude are valued
