Fitness Instructor Supervisor

About the Role

Location: 518/8 Ploenchit Road, Bangkok, Bangkok, Thailand, 10330

Schedule: Full Time. Onsite. Position Type: Non-Management.

Assess individual's current exercise program and level of fitness to develop personalized exercise programs and provide fitness counseling; provide advice on correct use of fitness equipment; register and schedule guests for recreation activities; promote a safe, fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.

Responsibilities

• Assess members' fitness levels and develop personalized exercise programs and provide fitness counseling.
• Instruct guests on correct use of fitness equipment and ensure equipment safety.
• Provide information, register and schedule guests for recreation activities and facility rentals.
• Process payments for equipment rental, activities, facility rentals or retail sales and enter information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Maintain supplies in recreation area (cups, water) and call Maintenance or outside service for equipment repairs.
• Promote and enforce rules and regulations of the recreation facility for safety and welfare of guests and members.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating and coaching employees; serve as role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions; complete required safety training and certifications.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting or walking for extended periods; move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds; move over sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces; reach overhead and below the knees.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Required: CPR Certification and First Aid Certification; Fitness Equipment certification and any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
• Preferred: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; less than 1 year of related work experience; no supervisory experience preferred.
• Must follow company policies and procedures, maintain professional appearance, protect company assets and maintain confidentiality.
• Customer-facing skills: welcome and acknowledge guests per company standards, assist individuals with disabilities, speak and write clearly and professionally, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
