ETL DataStage Developer (Intermediate - Senior)

About the Role

Join the IT Delivery – Market Risk and Data Warehouse team as an ETL developer at ATA IT Limited (National Bank of Canada group). Your main role will be to contribute to the development and evolution of our data pipelines, with expertise in IBM DataStage and openness to learn and evolve in AWS environments. Hybrid work with Working from Tuesday – Saturday including public holidays with compensation days given (Might change to Mon – Fri in the future).

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, test, deploy and maintain complex ETL workflows with IBM DataStage and Oracle SQL as per business requirements.
• Participate in the modernization of data platforms, including learning and progressive integration of AWS services and Java components.
• Collaborate with architecture, analysis and production teams to ensure quality and performance of delivered solutions.
• Optimize data processing and automate processes through CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate and unblock incidents; support production stability.
• Build and maintain documentation related to tasks such as ETL specifications and unit tests.
• Follow best practices for security, high availability, and monitoring of systems in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related fields.
• More than 3 years of solid knowledge and experience in ETL – IBM InfoSphere 11.x DataStage or other ETL tools.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc.).
• Experience with Control-M and UNIX Shell scripting.
• Knowledge of agile software development tools, source code management, and DevOps platforms (Jenkins, git-Bitbucket/GitHub, Nexus, CI/CD pipelines etc.).
• Basic knowledge or strong interest in AWS and Java (training or coaching offered).
• Multitasking, willing to learn new things, good communication skills and fluent in English.

Skills

• IBM DataStage, Oracle SQL, Control-M, UNIX Shell scripting.
• DevOps and CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Git (Bitbucket/GitHub) and Nexus.
• Progressive use of AWS services and Java components as part of platform modernization.
