Responsibilities

• Mainly respond for Occupational Health and Environmental in the HSE management system to comply with Syngenta HSE requirements/standards and local HSE legislation; strive to achieve HSE objectives/KPI and align with Site Operational Excellence.
• Sustain HSE culture with dynamic HSE activities on site.
• Stay up to date with safety and occupational health regulation and industry standards; ensure all activities and HSE procedures comply with the latest regulation and guidelines.
• Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation plans and follow up on implementation.
• Deliver safety training to employees using certified trainers as legally required.
• Conduct internal audits for Syngenta HSE MS, ISO14001 & ISO45001, and Process Safety Management (PSM); coordinate with external certified bodies for ISO and PSM audits.
• Implement digital HSE platform (eHSE) aligned with Global and Regional plans, including online internal audit, visualization dashboards for health promotion programs, Tier 2 meeting, PPE & pharmaceuticals stock.
• Create safety culture programs/campaigns to encourage employee awareness and behavioral safety.
• Monitor, inspect and audit implementation of HSE MS elements covering process safety, occupational safety and health.
• Implement Management of Change (MoC) process and check integrity of MoC risk assessments, KPIs and documentation.
• Collaborate with area owners to conduct investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions for incidents.
• Update HSE actions in HSE Master Action Tracker and follow up to closure within timelines, including actions in the eHSE system.
• Submit risk assessment reports and control measure implementation plans to the Department of Industrial Works (DIW) to obtain approvals.
• Submit relevant documents to the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) to obtain operational permits and licenses, including PSM information, audit reports and closed actions via the IEAT online system.
• Submit documents to the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare regarding chemical handling, health surveillance, industrial hygiene performance, emergency response plans and drills, site HSE performance results and training records.
• Organize meetings with Praksa Subdistrict Municipality, community leaders and neighboring companies near Syngenta Bangpoo site for dialogue and annual CSR collaboration.
• Support assignments from the HSE manager.

Qualifications

• At least Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health or Safety Engineering.
• 10 years experience in HSE operations with a strong HSE background.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Understanding of cultural/national differences as they affect HSE requirements, communications and business practices.
• Good problem solving and analysis skills; leadership, ability to influence people, self-confidence and ability to motivate and inspire.
