Plant Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor suppliers' performance and KPIs (Quality Index / PPM) and follow up implementation of improvement actions after claims or audits to maintain required levels towards Brembo customers.
• Manage claims coming from suppliers.
• Manage supplier non-conformities and guarantee communication with suppliers in case of non-conformity.
• Perform audits on suppliers.

Qualifications / Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, Electrical, Materials Engineering).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Supplier Quality or related quality roles, preferably in an industrial or automotive environment.
• Hands-on experience with supplier PPAP approval processes, incoming inspection documentation, measurement program setup, and report review.
• Practical experience in incoming inspection of components from suppliers to ensure release readiness for the production line.
• Experience in non-conforming product management, including problem-solving methodologies, root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, and component verification activities.
• Exposure to supplier PPAP submission and approval processes, including document control and release activities, is an advantage.
• Ability to work hands-on on the shop floor.
• Solid knowledge of Quality Core Tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC.
• Hands-on experience using laboratory and measurement equipment such as CMM, Roundness Tester, Hardness Tester, Roughness Tester, and Profile Projector.
• Good understanding of GD&T, special characteristics, and technical drawing interpretation.
• Knowledge of statistical process control including Cp and Cpk analysis and familiarity with incoming inspection activities.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and global stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and a compliance-driven mindset focused on supplier quality and adherence to Brembo standards.
