About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced onsite IT Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to oversee IT projects, primarily managing customer and partner relationships while ensuring smooth communication with the delivery team. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Thai and English and serve as the main point of contact between stakeholders and the delivery team, providing timely updates and highlighting potential risks. Experience in the Ports/Customs domain is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers and partners and ensure their requirements are understood and addressed throughout the project.
• Provide regular status updates to the delivery team and communicate changes, challenges, or progress immediately.
• Anticipate project risks early, carry out risk assessments, and recommend/implement mitigation measures.
• Work with onsite stakeholders including customers, vendors, and contractors to align project objectives with customer expectations.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and offshore teams to coordinate tasks, address challenges, and ensure steady project progress.
• Ensure deliverables meet required standards and customer expectations; participate in system reviews with key stakeholders.
• Liaise with the project team on SDLC stages for application development from planning to implementation and be responsible for user and vendor management.
• Ensure project plans and activities are endorsed by the Project Steering Committee and are properly executed and tracked until completion.
• Provide technical and business system advice to internal and external customers and understand interdependencies of services and applications.
• Ensure adherence to security procedures to achieve compliance with security policies and standards.
• Keep abreast of technological advancements, emerging standards, and new software or hardware solutions.
• Travel as required, including local travel and occasional trips to company headquarters.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Professional certification in Project Management (CITPM, PMP, or PRINCE2) is advantageous.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IT project management and more than 10 years of experience in IT.
• Experience managing onsite projects and working closely with remote delivery teams.
• Experience managing customers, partners, third-party vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Experience managing mid-to-large scale IT projects with contract value of at least S$1 million and leading mid-to-large project teams.
• More than 5 years of experience in web application projects in a vendor environment; Ports/Customs domain experience is an added advantage.
• Key competencies: stakeholder engagement, customer focus, business insights, strategic perspective, organizational awareness, results oriented.

• Preferable: experience in Ports/Customs domain projects and working in multicultural environments with regional and headquarters stakeholders.
• Preferable: professional project management certification such as CITPM, PMP, or PRINCE2.
