PSM Lead APAC

About the Role

allnex is hiring a Process Safety Management (PSM) Lead for APAC based in Rayong, Thailand. The role will lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of the PSM framework across multiple manufacturing sites, acting as a regional subject-matter expert and partnering with site and regional leadership to reduce risk and embed process safety best practices. Onsite role with travel across APAC.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the Process Safety Management (PSM) system and drive alignment with global SHE strategy, policies and standards across APAC sites
• Provide technical leadership and direction to site SHE teams and lead regional process safety improvement initiatives and programmes
• Lead and facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), HAZOPs and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)
• Conduct PSM audits, reviews and gap assessments and support sites in identifying and mitigating process and mechanical risks
• Monitor, analyse and report process safety incidents (PSI) and near misses; drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
• Track key PSM metrics (e.g. PHA completion, training effectiveness) and evaluate/optimise SHE/PSM processes for effectiveness
• Deliver PSM-related training and workshops; mentor and coach site SHE personnel to build capability and ensure consistency in PHA methodologies across sites
• Partner with global, regional and site leaders to implement SHE initiatives, facilitate sharing of best practices and support cross-functional projects and strategic risk assessments
• Engage with external bodies and professional organisations as required

Qualifications

• 7–10 years' experience in manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a PSM or SHE leadership role
• Proven experience implementing or supporting PSM programmes and regional or multinational experience is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of process safety methodologies (PHA, HAZOP, PSSR) and experience in audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
• Understanding of chemical or mechanical plant operations
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent); Professional Engineer certification preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ability to lead projects and influence teams
• Willingness to travel across APAC
