Product Development Manager

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting activities and administrative responsibility for products aimed at the corporate segment. This role is responsible for managing relationships with intermediaries and business partners in the area of underwriting service delivery, market movements, and A&H system & administrative coordination.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the risk for new business & renewals in accordance with standards to ensure profitable growth and maintain awareness of market dynamics.
• Manage relationships with intermediaries and business partners regarding underwriting service delivery and market movements.
• Provide A&H underwriting support by handling administrative work through researching, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining business operating excellence and admin performance.
• Serve as communication point of contact for business partners and other departments by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding corrective steps.
• Improve business efficiency by writing and maintaining business flows & documentation.
• Recommend devices and techniques for A&H externalization systems and online solutions; identify system problems and recommend changes to improve performance.
• Monitor compliance with service agreements to avoid legal challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of work experience.
• Highly independent and a strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic IT and Microsoft Office skills (creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards).
• Strong analytical and IT skills preferred, including Power BI and writing/optimizing SQL enquiries.
