Robotics Software Engineer - Projects (Thailand)

About the Role

You will play a crucial role in bringing our Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) to life, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated and operational within our customer's facilities.

Responsibilities

• Install robotics and automation projects, travel to customer sites for AMR installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and documentation.
• Work closely with the engineering team to understand AMR specifications, functionalities, and ROS-based navigation systems.
• Design, architect, develop, and test algorithms for the MAG AMR’s complete software stack.
• Develop and implement simulation models, conduct detailed analysis of simulation results, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies during installation and drive technical decision-making while balancing project requirements.
• Conduct system and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations and optimal performance; address vulnerability assessments and implement required updates.
• Support solution architecture by designing workflows, system integrations, fleet logic, and deployment strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to robotics and automation software, provide technical guidance and training to customers and internal teams, and maintain clear documentation of development activities and architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and develop relations with customer operations or maintenance teams; identify and propose improvements to AMR performance and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of robotic systems, including actuators, sensors, and control systems.
• Proficiency in ROS (Robot Operating System) and Python programming.
• Excellent hands-on skills in mechanical assembly, soldering, crimping, and other technical tasks.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
• Languages: English and Thai; Chinese optional.
