Technical Product Owner

About the Role

As Technical Product Owner at Allianz Technology, you own the shared technical foundation of the Sales Digital Workstation (SDW), a global, micro-frontend-based CRM platform serving Allianz Operating Entities across Europe and beyond. You will lead the design, delivery, and evolution of the shared platform layer: the micro-frontend shell, MFE integration standards, and the platform-side configuration of the API gateway (Apigee) and CDN/caching (Akamai). You set the platform direction that the Operation Team provisions and operates day-to-day. This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining the depth of a Tech Lead with the strategic scope of a Technical Product Owner.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the SDW micro-frontend platform: Sales Portal shell, MFE integration contracts, shared Angular libraries, and cross-cutting platform services used by 10+ product squads across multiple Operating Entities.
• Define and maintain the SDW platform roadmap; translate MFE team pain points and Sales Operations feedback into a prioritized backlog of platform improvements.
• Define platform-side Apigee API gateway configuration in partnership with Architecture and Operations: OIDC proxy configuration, Token Handler flows, Configuration-as-Code migration, MFE KVM management, and per-country broker authentication patterns.
• Define CDN and caching strategy (Akamai) for MFE static assets: cache invalidation policy on release, SSR cache management, and frontend performance optimization.
• Partner with Architecture and Sales Operations on platform-level SLOs; contribute to Dynatrace monitoring design and post-incident platform improvements.
• Govern MFE integration standards: integration type selection, context-path conventions, NDBX design system compliance, Angular version alignment, and WCAG 2.2 accessibility requirements.
• Act as Technical Product Owner for the SDW platform backlog: manage roadmap, prioritization, rollout sequencing, deprecation timelines, and self-service onboarding documentation; translate platform requirements into clear specifications for the Operation Team.
• Represent SDW platform decisions in Architecture reviews and Allianz global tech governance forums and drive adoption across Operating Entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in frontend or platform engineering, with at least 2 years in technical leadership or platform ownership.
• Proven experience designing and operating micro-frontend platforms at scale: module federation, shell/MFE contracts, cross-MFE communication, and Angular version alignment strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Apigee: proxy configuration, OIDC/OAuth 2.0 flows, Token Handler pattern, KVM management, and multi-country/multi-IDP broker configurations.
• Hands-on CDN and caching experience (Akamai or equivalent): static asset delivery, cache invalidation, SSR cache management, and frontend performance optimization.
• Working understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent), pipeline-as-code, shared library management, credential governance, and container security scanning.
• Nice to have: Kubernetes/EKS operations, Terraform-based IaC for AWS, and observability tooling (Dynatrace or equivalent).
• Ability to operate as Technical Product Owner: backlog ownership, roadmap communication, and stakeholder alignment across multiple product teams.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in global, multi-country enterprise platform delivery.
