Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design and implement test automation framework (UI, API, performance) for AWS-based application including functional, integration, performance and security testing.
• Lead the delivery of critical projects with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership with minimal direction.
• Enforce best practices for cloud-native development, microservices, and domain-driven and event-driven verification.
• Embed quality gates within CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and delivery.
• Act as a SME or technical authority across multiple teams on test architecture, test automation, and quality engineering practices.
• Champion the adoption of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, testing automation, code review assistants) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Evaluate emerging AI engineering tools and define standards for their safe, secure, and effective use.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and feedback loops to improve delivery speed and system reliability.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, DevOps and cyber security teams to align solutions with business goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a lead/principal engineering role.
• Proven hands-on experience as a technical lead building scalable test automation with AWS cloud services and cloud-native testing strategies.
• Proven hands-on experience with AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, code LLMs, automated testing AI tools) for testing and quality engineering.
• Experience in modern programming languages (e.g. Java or Python or JavaScript).
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of micro-services architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proven a positive and high-energy personal commitment with a collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with software engineering or agentic AI is considered an advantage.
