SAP BTP Consultant

About the Role

3-5 years experienced in SAP BTP Developer to design, build, and support solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), with a strong focus on integration and data connectivity with SAP HANA databases. The role involves developing scalable applications, APIs, and services to support business processes and system integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications on SAP BTP using services such as CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), Java, SAP UI5.
• Build and manage integrations between SAP BTP and SAP HANA (Cloud).
• Analyze APIs and interface solutions to support data exchange between systems.
• Optimize data models and queries for performance in SAP HANA.
• Collaborate with functional teams, integration teams (e.g., SAP CI), and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of BTP applications.
• Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ongoing enhancements.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to best practices for BTP development.

Skills

• Strong experience in SAP BTP development (Cloud environment preferred).
• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA Cloud database.
• Experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (Node.js) and SAP UI5/Fiori development.
• Knowledge of API development and integrations; experience with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration / API Management).
• Experience in handling data integration and real-time processing scenarios.
• Understanding of authentication and security concepts in BTP (OAuth / XSUAA / Role-based access using CAP).
• Experience with Git-based source control and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in a cloud environment.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot cloud applications using logs and monitoring tools; strong problem-solving and communication skill.
