Shift Operations Leader

About the Role

Join the team driving operational excellence at Kellanova’s Chon Buri plant in Thailand. This is an on-site, hands-on leadership role responsible for leading shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing/FMCG environment to ensure Safety, Quality, Service and Cost targets are achieved, and to foster a culture of performance, accountability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the shift team complies with Safety, Food Safety and Regulatory requirements.
• Create a safe environment and produce high quality products by ensuring compliance with Kellanova policies, programs and activities.
• Perform Gemba walks on the shop floor to ensure adherence to Safety Seven and Golden Six norms.
• Manage manufacturing during the shift by ensuring adherence to production Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operating equipment and upholding Autonomous Maintenance (AM) requirements.
• Supervise Operations Technicians to meet production schedules, achieve optimal service levels and control cost while maintaining good manufacturing standards.
• Uphold shift compliance, participation and development of the Kellanova Work Systems (KWS) culture and enable Daily Direction Setting (DDS) and Daily Management System (DMS) processes.
• Ensure technical and leadership competency development of Operations Technicians according to skill matrix requirements.
• Drive shop-floor engagement through campaigns and employee engagement activities, maintain communication with the shop floor and perform regular 1:1s with direct reports.
• Manage assigned shift team HR processes including vacation, absence, leave, overtime and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing, plant operations or production management within a fast-paced industrial or FMCG environment.
• Proven experience leading and managing shift operations teams to achieve production, quality, safety and cost targets.
• Strong knowledge of Safety, Food Safety, Regulatory compliance and manufacturing SOPs.
• Experience with continuous improvement practices such as Gemba walks, Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Daily Direction Setting (DDS) and Daily Management Systems (DMS).
• Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills, including employee engagement, performance management and competency development.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities and the capability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing workforce planning and HR-related processes including scheduling, attendance, overtime, leave management and disciplinary actions.
