Operations Director

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our Thailand data centre operations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mission-critical facilities while building and developing the local operations team. Working closely with regional leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, the Operations Director will drive operational excellence, support facility growth, and oversee the transition of assets from commissioning into steady-state operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day operations of the Thailand data centre platform, ensuring uptime, reliability, and service delivery targets are achieved
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team to support a 24/7 mission-critical environment
• Establish and maintain operational procedures, standards, and governance frameworks including SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs
• Support facility commissioning, operational readiness, and transition into live operations
• Manage critical infrastructure operations including electrical, mechanical, cooling, UPS, generator, and monitoring systems
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
• Manage facilities management providers, contractors, and key service vendors to ensure performance against agreed KPIs
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Development, Construction, Engineering, and Commercial teams
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, operational, and business continuity requirements
• Manage operational budgets, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support customer engagements, audits, and operational reviews as required
• Participate in ad-hoc operational and strategic initiatives as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline
• 10–15 years of experience within data centres, critical facilities, telecommunications, utilities, power, or related industries
• Proven leadership experience managing operations teams within a mission-critical environment
• Experience overseeing facilities through commissioning, operational readiness, and steady-state operations
• Strong understanding of critical infrastructure systems including electrical, mechanical, cooling, UPS, and generator systems
• Experience managing incidents, operational risk, vendors, and service providers
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and team leadership skills
• Hands-on leader with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
• Demonstrated tenure stability and experience managing operations across the full asset lifecycle
• Based in Bangkok, Thailand
