Global Senior Finance Analyst, Opex

East-West Seed is a global vegetable seed business dedicated to empowering smallholder farmers with high-quality seeds and agronomic knowledge. Join the International Finance team to support group-wide OPEX reporting, consolidation, standardization and optimisation across entities.

Responsibilities

• Lead consolidation and partner with functional leaders, department heads, and group and country finance to ensure accuracy of OPEX budgets, forecasts, and results for the EWS Group.
• Develop and maintain OPEX reporting tools, dashboards, and templates to track performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual OPEX trends to identify variances, opportunities, and risks, and report/consolidate/analyse drivers of OPEX.
• Prepare OPEX reports and presentations for management and the board, communicating insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external reporting standards.
• Identify opportunities to streamline OPEX-related processes for greater accuracy and efficiency and leverage financial systems (e.g., ERP, BI tools) to automate data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
• Participate in design and implementation of financial tools and templates to enhance group-wide consistency.
• Support strategic initiatives and projects, including cost-saving programmes and business cases for operational investments; perform ad hoc analyses to assess financial impact on OPEX.
• IHQ Opex management: act as finance partner to cost centre owners of IHQ, supporting them in interpreting OPEX numbers, identifying underlying cost drivers, and justifying cost structures (measured via forecast accuracy, resource optimisation, etc.).
• Support ad hoc OPEX-related projects, e.g., people cost system build, T&E analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Management Information System.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant financial controlling, FP&A, or external audit experience; global or multicultural environment experience preferred.
• Critical thinking, adaptive and proactive with a growth mindset; ability to multi-task, manage shifting priorities and deadlines with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills; willingness to support and guide subsidiaries and cross-functional teams on best practices and financial acumen.
• Strong proficiency with Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Gmail, Slides, Docs) or similar Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience building reports with Power BI and handling multiple data sources is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
