Responsibilities

• Manage strategic products and projects: lead and manage multiple simultaneous strategic projects by prioritizing initiatives, developing project plans and collaborating with product and other teams to ensure timely execution.
• Collaborate with senior leadership across departments to develop and implement strategies that align with the organisation's vision and goals; continuously assess, refine and adapt the strategic plan to changing market conditions and organisational needs.
• Product & team leadership: provide leadership and direction within the Global ocean product management team; collaborate with GFPT, GLPT and other functional units on monetization, product effectiveness and operational productivity.
• Manage, coach and develop a high-performing team that meets objectives, delivers best practices and drives continuous improvement.
• Continuously monitor ocean product performance (volumes and profitability) to ensure sustainable development over time.
• Manage key stakeholders: communicate strategic plans and initiatives to Managing Directors, Regional CEOs, Commercial, Operations, Digital Excellence, Finance and other stakeholders; present complex analyses clearly and provide guidance to cross-functional teams for successful implementation.
• Demurrage & detention management: create and implement a Global Demurrage and Detention Policy, roll out COL D&D tariffs in Europe and drive countries to sell customer-specific COL levels; implement automation with MDs, country leadership, IT and ODE to monetize and optimize D&D and roll out across markets in line with the SAAS provider roadmap.
• Implement monetization initiatives: drive commercial orientation and data quality standardisation/compliance to monetize surcharges, exchange rates and customer-requested exceptions; work with ODE to ensure data entry compliance to improve carrier incentive realisation and decision-making.
• Drive Cloud Ocean Line implementation as a carrier: build a tariff environment separating buying and selling for all cost items; lead the team ensuring quality and consistency of ocean freight tariff structure; roll out and refine the Quotation Tool with ODE and Air Freight; manage goal setting and reporting for tariff accuracy and product competitiveness.
• Coordinate with sales management, heads of FCL and LCL products and trade managers to identify and analyse areas for tariff improvement and support tender competitiveness analysis.
• Manage product development, branding & trainings: collaborate with regional product and marketing teams on internal and external marketing material; develop user-oriented product training with training, HR and commercial teams; ensure product and commercial teams understand integration of sustainability solutions in the value proposition.
• Lead ocean product market intelligence: conduct in-depth industry research, analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform senior leadership and guide prioritisation and resource allocation.
