Our client operates in the consumer financial services space, providing flexible financing solutions and supporting consumers and SMBs across their financial journeys. They have a broad ecosystem connecting consumers with small and mid-sized businesses and providers in the health and wellness sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead a global team of Advanced Quality Engineers supporting new product introductions for a Strategic Product Line within the Digital Data Networks (DDN) business unit.
- Own AQE activities from project inception through product launch and introduction.
- Participate in project kick-offs, support internal and customer-specific requirements, drive RPN reductions and analyze SPC data.
- Act as liaison between engineering and plants to ensure robust process capability on all programs.
- Attend project meetings and APQP-driven events with customers and Project/Program Management.
- Document results for program characteristics and ensure internal and external requirements are met, including managing deviations.
- Develop and deliver Control Plans, Capability Studies, part drawings, inspection instructions, Gage R&R, DFMEAs/PFMEAs/AFMEAs for assigned projects.
- Ensure products are Designed for Manufacturing & Assembly (DfMA) and meet internal and customer requirements.
- Define/approve Design Validation Test (DVT) and quality plans and authorize that DVT results meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Participate in early concept and design reviews with Product Development Engineering (PDE) for product, tooling, fixturing and overall quality plans.
- Generate and champion 8-Ds for prototype/process failures, complete Change Control, and identify special characteristics.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Process Development Engineering (MPDE) to ensure manufacturing process and equipment meet defined quality and capability levels.
- Assemble and submit PPAP packages on time and support Supplier PPAP completion and Final Tool Approval (FTAR) using CTAR.
- Perform Six Sigma capability analysis of new equipment/processes to reduce variation.
- Regularly report to executive management on Global Supplier Quality Program performance and effectiveness.
- Drive organisation performance through coaching, feedback, resource/load management, role clarity, and talent planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical discipline (Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics).
- 10+ years of experience in Quality / Advanced Quality Engineering within global organisations.
- Proven experience managing engineering teams in cross-functional, multi-site global organisations.
- Ability to build strong relationships with senior functional leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Practical experience with Lean, Six Sigma, DFSS, Design for Manufacturability & Assembly (DfMA), Kaizen, 8D, Design of Experiments (DoE), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Capability (CpK) analysis.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, Gage R&R, DFMEA/PFMEA/AFMEA, CTAR and FTAR processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of departmental and corporate procedures and systems, e.g., ISO9000, ISO9001, IATF16949.
