About the Role

This position is responsible for new project launches and maintaining mass production projects related to speaker testing. The role focuses on test process and equipment transfer, test program development, failure analysis, continual improvement of FPY and test coverage, and ensuring compliance with customer quality and EHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work with advanced/global teams to hand over new projects and transfer testing processes and equipment to local sites.
• Review product designs for testability and provide feedback on test equipment/fixture designs; capture lessons learned from earlier project phases.
• Support manufacturing with failure analysis, in-process rework, tester debugging, and reduction of intermittent failures and equipment downtime.
• Collect and analyze test data to drive continuous improvement in FPY and test coverage.
• Develop or study line-of-business applications to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform semi-routine technique development and maintenance subject to established standards, including ISO and QS.
• Provide training in new procedures to production testing staff.
• Integrate customer-specific quality standards into daily operations to meet customer objectives.
• Implement and adhere to EHS policies, procedures, and objectives to maintain a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Five years or more experience in electronics manufacturing as a Testing Engineer.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build and work with teams.
• Good experience in testing area; experience in test program development and a variety of test instruments (audio amplifier or RF signals) is preferred.
• Programming experience in LabVIEW/TestStand, C# or VB is a plus.
• Knowledge of electronic circuit board analysis, ability to read schematics, MSA and CPK analysis is a bonus.
• Experience with design for manufacturing and testing, and automotive standards (VDA, AIAG, ISO/IATF16949) is advantageous.
• Willingness to work overtime and handle higher workload during new project launches; ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements.
