Native Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) Localization Tester

About the Role

Job Title: Native Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) Localization Tester. Location: Bangkok, Onsite. Type: Freelance / part-time, project-by-project. Must be available to work ON-SITE (RWS Bangkok) when contacted.

Responsibilities

• Linguistic Testing: Meticulously checking the UI for translation errors, grammatical mistakes, spelling issues, and other linguistic bugs.
• Functional & Internationalization Testing: Identifying and reporting technical issues related to localization, such as text truncation, layout problems, display errors, and regional formatting inconsistencies.
• Bug Reporting: Clearly documenting and reporting issues using internal spreadsheets, providing detailed and actionable information.
• Following Instructions: Executing test plans and complex test cases with precision, paying close attention to detailed instructions.

Qualifications

• Native-level language proficiency in Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), including cultural nuance, natural flow, and consistent terminology.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot subtle linguistic and functional issues.
• Technical proficiency with various devices (smartphones, smartwatches, etc.) and comfortable using Google Drive/Sheets; able to navigate technical setups and follow complex instructions.
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to independently identify problems and find efficient solutions.
• Strong communication skills for clear, concise bug reporting and feedback.
• Previous experience in localization, quality assurance, or linguistic roles is a significant plus.
