• Language Pair: English to Chinese (Simplified)
• Domain: IT/Software Localization
• Experience: Demonstrated professional translation experience
• Location Restrictions: Must be based outside of China
• Work arrangement: Remote / freelance

Responsibilities

• Translate diverse source materials from English into Chinese (Simplified) accurately and appropriately
• Ensure translations are culturally relevant, clear, and align with client specifications
• Maintain consistency in terminology and style throughout translation projects
• Collaborate with project managers and reviewers to meet deadlines and quality standards
• Review and proofread translated content to ensure high quality deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field preferred
• Native proficiency in Chinese (Simplified) with excellent command of English
• Must be located outside of China
• Proven professional experience in post-editing and translation, preferably in a freelance capacity
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances and localization practices
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio) is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment
• Good communication skills for collaboration with remote teams
