About the Role
Are you ready to champion the future of incisionless surgery? We are seeking a high-caliber, strategic, and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead the commercial growth and market adoption of Insightec’s Magnetic Resonance-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS) technology across Thailand. Insightec MRgFUS (including the state-of-the-art Exablate Prime platform) represents a monumental paradigm shift in functional neurosurgery and oncology—offering patients non-invasive, life-changing treatments for movement disorders like Essential Tremor and Parkinson's Disease.
As the Business Development Manager, you will lead the high-value capital sales cycle, navigating complex hospital ecosystems, building deep clinical partnerships with neurosurgeons, neurologists and radiologists, and aligning with executive hospital leadership to establish flagship MRgFUS programs across the country.
Responsibilities
- Drive Multi-Million Dollar Capital Cycles: Lead the end-to-end commercial process for complex, high-value medical capital equipment from lead generation and initial clinical mapping to C-suite negotiations and tender finalization.
- Establish Center-of-Excellence Programs: Develop premium, sustainable clinical programs at key institutional accounts to ensure long-term utilization and reference-site capability.
- Market Penetration Strategy: Map out and execute targeted country-specific growth strategies to build a robust, predictable multi-year sales pipeline.
- Build Peer-to-Peer Networks: Foster influential relationships with leading neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiologists, and functional imaging specialists, and coordinate clinical workshops, user groups and peer-to-peer sharing sessions.
- Navigate Hospital Dynamics: Bridge clinical advocates and administrative decision-makers within major private and public healthcare groups.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Partner Management: Work closely with clinical application specialists, regional marketing and local distribution channels to ensure site readiness, post-sale utilization support and strategic alignment with global principals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of successful medical device sales experience, with a mandatory and proven track record in large-scale capital equipment sales (e.g., advanced imaging, surgical robotics, navigation systems, or neurosurgical capital).
- Deep commercial familiarity with the Thailand healthcare landscape (private hospital networks, public tender processes, and regional regulatory dynamics).
- Demonstrated experience handling complex, long-term sales cycles involving multiple institutional stakeholders and C-suite hospital management.
- Prior clinical or commercial background in Radiology, deep brain stimulation (DBS) systems, surgical navigation, or robotics is highly advantageous.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; a master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred. Strong background in Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Healthcare/Clinical fields is required to rapidly grasp highly technical product profiles.
- Fluency in English and Thai is mandatory (written and spoken), as the role requires direct, high-level engagement with key institutional stakeholders and clinical networks.
