Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing all quality-related activities to ensure products and processes comply with customer requirements, company standards, and applicable automotive quality systems. Oversees implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements within an automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure full compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Establish quality strategies, objectives, and KPIs aligned with company and customer expectations.
• Oversee internal audits, process audits, product audits, and management reviews; ensure effective closure of audit findings.
• Lead and coordinate customer audits and third-party certification audits.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure root cause analysis and effectiveness verification.
• Manage quality performance metrics, analyze trends, and report quality status to senior management.
• Ensure effective document control and quality record management across the organization.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and other departments to improve product and process quality.
• Lead customer complaint handling, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer communication.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives and a strong quality culture throughout the organization.
• Lead, coach, and develop the quality team to ensure high performance and competency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and legal regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 7–10 years of experience in quality management within the automotive manufacturing industry, with at least 3–5 years in a Quality Manager or senior quality leadership role.
• Knowledge & Skills: In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA); experience in problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone); strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Audit: Proven experience handling customer and third-party audits.
• Language: Good command of English; Chinese (Mandarin) language skills are an advantage.
• Personal attributes: Strong leadership and people management skills; results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset; high sense of responsibility and attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
