Responsibilities

• Optimise the IKEA shopping experience in your area of responsibility to secure satisfied customers and increase sales through knowledge of the IKEA range, life at home, and local market competition.
• Actively approach customers, identify needs by asking the right questions, and advise them on the best home furnishing solutions to exceed expectations.
• Use different IKEA sales and communication channels appropriately for different customers.
• Keep your area clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked, ensuring IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times.
• Support a customer-friendly and efficient execution of payments, exchanges & returns, and the click and collect process.
• Support the end-to-end shopping experience by applying home furnishing knowledge to provide relevant solutions and contribute to actions that secure First Time Right for customers.
• Collaborate with colleagues and assist in other job and operations-related duties as assigned, living the value of Togetherness.

Qualifications

• Available to commit to a minimum 24-hour work week (6–8 hours per day, excluding 1 hour break, 4 days a week) and shift work.
• Available to work on at least two weekdays as well as Saturday and Sunday.
• Confident in approaching and talking to people in a polite and friendly manner with the right attitude to sell actively and help customers to buy.
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in English.
• Knowledge of the IKEA product range, including service products, and an interest in people's everyday life at home and home furnishing.
