Senior Supply Chain Planner

About the Role

The Senior Supply Planner plays a critical role in enabling and protecting the business by ensuring the right products, capacity, and inventory are available at the right time to meet evolving customer and operational needs. This role stabilizes enterprise supply execution in a dynamic telecommunications/manufacturing environment, leading development and execution of inventory, allocation, and fulfillment strategies that balance service level commitments, supply continuity, inventory health, and order-to-cash efficiency. Works cross-functionally with demand planning, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and commercial teams to anticipate supply challenges and drive proactive adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Stabilize supply execution across constraints and demand shifts; lead prioritization and escalation management.
• Define inventory, allocation, safety stock, and replenishment strategies; optimize service, DSI, OTIF, and inventory tradeoffs.
• Align Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Sales Operations; lead supply response during shortages and transitions.
• Scale supply planning models, KPI frameworks, and ERP/MRP optimization; drive operational risk visibility and analytics.
• Strengthen planning data governance, exception management, and lead automation and AI-ready planning capabilities.
• Manage available-to-promise calculations and slotting of new orders; analyze released sales order requirements and schedule orders based on customer needs.
• Reserve on-hand material prior to order release to prevent inventory duplication; allocate material based on production capacities and availability; balance inventory between company warehouses.
• Provide methods and support for Order Fulfillment team to understand order status at all points of the fulfillment process; communicate sales order status to internal customers and measure/report supplier performance.
• Lead process improvement and continuous improvement projects within the Planning group; develop and present Planning KPIs monthly.
• Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management or related discipline preferred.
• APICS / ASCM (APICs) certification a plus.
• 8+ years supply planning, inventory, or master scheduling leadership in manufacturing/electronics environments.
• Also notes: 3 years or more experience, including at least 2 years in a master scheduling/planning role within a manufacturing company of Electronics or Telecommunications products.
• Experience with a major ERP system, preferably Oracle; ERP/MRP optimization, supply analytics, inventory strategy, KPI management.
• Data governance, automation, AI-ready planning capability; ability to use database management software and create customized queries from multiple data sources.
• Superior communication skills for frequent interaction with senior management; executive-level communication, cross-functional influence, and strategic presentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously with a heavy workload and meet deadlines; expert user of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
