Data Governance/Quality Engineer

About the Role

Collaborate with business users, Data Stewards, SMEs, and technical teams to translate data quality requirements into technical rules, and design, implement and maintain data quality controls, metrics and monitoring processes to support analytics, reporting and AI-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users, Data Stewards, SMEs, and technical teams to translate data quality requirements into technical rules
• Design, implement, and maintain data quality controls, metrics, and monitoring processes
• Support data profiling, cleansing, enrichment, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Operationalize Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and implement preventive and detective controls
• Analyze data flows and data lineage to identify root causes and recommend governance controls
• Monitor data quality dashboards and support issue investigation and remediation
• Contribute to governance frameworks, metadata standards, business glossaries, and lineage documentation
• Promote data stewardship and governance best practices across the organization
• Support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven data initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Engineering, or related roles
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, R, Java, or Scala
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, data observability, and agile methodologies
• Experience with Informatica Cloud is highly preferred
• Familiarity with Databricks, Salesforce, AS400, APIs, cloud platforms, and modern data architectures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Professional proficiency in English
