Hotel Construction Development Expert

About the Role

• Lead hotel construction and development projects for upscale, upper-upscale, and luxury hotel developments — including hotels within large-scale mixed-use complexes — from project initiation, design development, procurement, construction, and commissioning through hotel opening.
• Lead architectural and structural design review from concept through construction documentation, ensuring design quality, buildability, and alignment with premium hotel standards.
• Develop and manage overall project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; monitor construction progress, identify project risks, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Drive structural lean design and architectural value engineering to optimize cost without compromising design intent; support cost benchmarking and independent BOQ review.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Development, Design, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Asset Management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage consultants, architects, structural engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project quality and compliance with company and brand standards.
• Coordinate with hotel operator / brand technical services on design review cycles and brand standards compliance.
• Manage guest room mockup development and approval.
• Coordinate interior fit-out, FF&E/OS&E procurement, testing & commissioning, and defects rectification through to handover.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, safety requirements, environmental standards, and corporate governance; uphold procurement governance and vendor integrity standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, project meetings, and progress reporting to senior management.
• Manage variation orders, claims, contract administration, and project documentation.
• Support hotel pre-opening activities and ensure smooth project handover to Operations.
