General Technician

Position Specific Requirements

The General Technician (for PM site) is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment, and physical structures. This role involves performing routine inspections, responding to emergency repair requests, and ensuring that all facilities remain safe, functional, and efficient.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: Basic proficiency in at least two trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or masonry).
• Manual Dexterity: Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools safely.
• Problem-Solving: The ability to diagnose equipment failures and determine the most cost-effective repair method.
• Physical Stamina: Capacity to lift heavy objects (often up to 25kg/50lbs), climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights.

Preferred Certifications

Vocational training or an apprenticeship in a technical field.
Specific licenses (e.g., low-voltage electrical certification or EPA 608 for HVAC) are often a significant advantage.
