About the Role

In this hourly, remote contractor role you will work as a Pharmacist Subject Matter Expert (SME) to review AI-generated medication- and pharmacy-related responses and/or generate expert pharmacy content. Responsibilities include evaluating reasoning quality and step-by-step clinical problem-solving, providing precise written feedback, assessing solutions for accuracy, clarity, safety, and adherence to the prompt, and improving AI medication guidance and patient-facing explanations. This role is with SME Careers, an AI data services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated medication/pharmacy responses and identify errors in pharmacotherapy reasoning, dosing logic, contraindications, interactions, monitoring, and patient counseling.
• Generate gold-standard pharmacy responses, model solutions, and detailed prompts across therapeutics, drug information, counseling, and medication safety topics.
• Fact-check medical and drug information and validate clinical correctness and safety of outputs.
• Evaluate, rank, and compare AI responses to improve safety, clarity, clinical correctness, and contextual relevance.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, unsafe recommendations, bias, and reliability across use cases and patient populations.

Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm/MPharm) and active pharmacist licensure or eligibility.
• 5+ years of professional pharmacy experience (community, hospital, ambulatory care, clinical pharmacy, managed care, or similar).
• Strong pharmacology and pharmacotherapy reasoning (indication-based selection, dosing, titration, monitoring, deprescribing) and ability to explain clinical rationale.
• Strong understanding of disease states, guideline-based therapy, medication reconciliation, and patient care workflows across settings (ED/inpatient/outpatient).
• Exceptional attention to detail when fact-checking drug content and identifying unsafe assumptions, missing contraindications, interaction risks, allergy considerations, or misinterpretation of labs; minimum C1 English proficiency.
• Comfortable evaluating internal consistency (timelines, physiology, dosing units, formulation selection) and appropriateness for clinical setting.
• Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones.
• Previous experience with AI data training/annotation, medication-use evaluation, drug information, clinical documentation review, PBM/managed care review, or healthcare editorial QA is strongly preferred.
