Infrastructure Developer (Bangkok-based, 6-month Contract)

About the Company

Agoda is an online travel booking platform and part of Booking Holdings. Data and technology are at the heart of the company: Agoda builds and operates large-scale infrastructure to connect travelers with millions of properties, flights and experiences worldwide. The Infrastructure Platform Development team in Bangkok designs and develops foundational infrastructure powering Agoda’s services, including virtualization, multi-tenant compute platforms, software-defined networking/storage and large-scale monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement features to maintain and enhance Agoda’s self-built infrastructure management system.
• Build tools and scripts to interact with core components such as OpenStack and Kubernetes.
• Work on scalability, reliability and automation challenges for a large modern infrastructure.
• Develop custom Kubernetes operators, automate bare-metal provisioning and integrate monitoring solutions (e.g., OpenTelemetry).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Programming experience in a modern language (preferably Python or Go), academic or professional.
• Familiarity with development ecosystems such as Git and Docker.
• Comfortable working in the Linux command-line environment, including Bash scripting.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills (working language is English) and a high sense of ownership.

Skills / Required Skills

• Experience or interest in OpenStack and Kubernetes environments.
• Knowledge of containerization and Docker (Dockerfiles, multi-stage builds, troubleshooting).
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems (GitLab or GitHub Actions) and pipeline-as-code practices.
• Experience with hardware management APIs (Redfish, iLO, DRAC) and designing resilient, highly available systems is a plus.
