Responsibilities

• Apply advanced engineering techniques and analyses with minimal supervision; act as a technical specialist or in a lead role for projects of low to medium complexity.
• Continue to learn and apply departmental design guides, standards, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies and procedures relative to assigned tasks; support continuous improvement and change management.
• Process engineering design of water treatment and wastewater treatment for various industries including conventional power, hydrogen, green power and mining.
• Prepare process engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, simulations, water mass balances, equipment datasheets, valve and pipeline lists, and complex technical descriptions.
• Prepare equipment or package system technical specifications and provide procurement technical support; serve as vendor package responsible engineer and manage technical aspects of packages.
• Manage assigned budget, schedule and quality requirements; plan and conduct independent evaluation, selection and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Support process lead for complex research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or material selection.
• Support or lead smaller project implementation through project life cycle: feasibility, FEL stages, FEED and detailed design; participate in EPC project site installation and commissioning (TSA).
• Provide guidance and direction to project team members and may assist business development or pursuit activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience; minimum 8 years experience in water and waste treatment engineering preferred. Experience in the power industry is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to the assigned engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated written communication, quality-driven mindset, ability to set priorities and plan work, delegation and directing others, conflict management, listening and teamwork.
