About the Role

Site Civil Engineer (Contract) – Waste to Energy (Ayutthaya) at Gulf Development Public Company Limited. Onsite, contract.

Responsibilities

• Support Site manager on the review of the Project contractors progress reports.
• Support Site manager in the preparation of weekly notes based on-site inspections and Contractor's progress reports.
• Support Site manager in reviewing the daily site logs made by Project contractors.
• Verify the contractors' contract with the technical specification documentation.
• Analyze survey reports, long-range plans, maps and other data to design when opening new project areas.
• Review site documents submitted by the Contractor, including inspections of substation civil works.
• Follow up on the correct application of the agreed method statement between the parties.
• Support Site manager to check variation orders issued by contractors based on contract unit cost.
• Maintain safety awareness and raise alarms when risks at the workplace are found.

Qualifications

• 7 years of professional experience with 5 years in the Energy business.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of engineering and management software such as STAAD-Pro, ANSYS, SAP2000, GTStrudl, RISA3D, Tekla Structure, Geo slope or other commercial analysis and design softwares; Microsoft Project or Primavera will be an advantage.
• Experience in QA & QC inspection of mass concrete structures and cooling systems.
• Knowledge of WTG foundation design and familiarity with EURO Codes will be advantaged but not mandatory.
• Professional engineer license will be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities; ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team and independently as required.
• Dynamic, proactive, and autonomous with good communication skills and the ability to create good relationships in a new environment.
• The position is based on site.
