We offer expertise in medical interpretation through Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) services, ensuring smooth communication in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation services (English ⇄ Karen) over phone (OPI) and via video (VRI) in medical, social services, customer service, and financial settings.
• Facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients to ensure effective understanding and care.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and HIPAA-compliant practices during all interactions.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Karen.
• Medical, customer service, social services, and financial calls interpretation skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Relevant certification in medical interpretation or a related field; HIPAA compliance required.
• Remote interpretation experience in both languages is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Technical requirements: Ethernet connection (must be connected directly to the router via cable; Wi-Fi is not allowed); noise-canceling microphone and USB headset (accepted brands: Logitech H390, Jabra GN, Plantronics Blackwire C3220 (Poly), Microsoft Lifechat LX-6000); latest version of Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox; Processor i5 or higher (6th generation or newer); Camera minimum 1080p; Full-time availability, 5 days a week (2 days off).
