About the Role

Key responsibilities in your new role overseeing wastewater treatment, facilities, EHS and security for a semiconductor/high‑tech cleanroom site. Onsite, full-time role managing WWTP, UPW, CAPEX/OPEX, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operation and end-to-end environmental control, ensuring compliance with local effluent discharge limits and environmental regulations.
• Direct the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of critical systems, including ultra-pure water (UPW) and WWTP.
• Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects from conceptual design through to commissioning and qualification.
• Optimize facility uptime through predictive and preventive maintenance programs to support high-volume semiconductor fabrication.
• Develop and enforce robust Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Oversee site security protocols, including access control, surveillance systems, and Emergency Response Team (ERT) readiness.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and the implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Manage neutralization of hazardous chemical byproducts specific to semiconductor processing (e.g., hydrofluoric acid, heavy metals, slurry) and drive sustainability initiatives focused on water recycling, energy reduction, and hazardous waste minimization.
• Manage the annual facilities and EHS budget (OPEX), ensuring cost-effective vendor management and resource allocation.
• Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies for permitting, inspections, and compliance reporting.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and contractors, fostering a culture of technical excellence and safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years of facilities management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or high-tech cleanroom environment.
• Proven track record in managing industrial wastewater treatment processes.
• Knowledge and experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, CAPEX project delivery, commissioning and qualification.
• Soft skills: crisis management abilities, strong negotiation skills, and the capacity to communicate complex technical data to executive leadership.
