Shift Supervisor

About the Role

The primary objective of this position is to ensure effective execution of production schedules by coordinating shift operators, verifying task completion, and maintaining adherence to safety and environmental standards. The role reports shift performance against PQCDSM parameters, verifies daily check sheets, can halt production for quality or machinery issues, oversees machine setups, manages material declarations/internal transfers, and supports training of new team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure achievement of planned production objectives, meeting defined time, quality, and quantity metrics.
• Coordinate shift operators and verify task completion; report shift performance against PQCDSM parameters to management.
• Monitor deviations or anomalies, halt production if quality parameters are not met or machinery operates abnormally, and communicate with the Head of Department.
• Oversee machine setups according to planning directives and closely supervise assembly processes to minimize defects and improve customer satisfaction.
• Lead the Disc Shop Team to meet productivity targets, reduce internal/external complaints and PPM, and enforce QMS procedures.
• Manage material declarations and internal transfers within AF & AX systems and interpret engineering drawings.
• Promote resource efficiency, continuous improvement in process and product quality, and ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental obligations.
• Support the development of new team members through training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related) with 3 to 6 years industry experience.
• Ability to work night shifts.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
