Supply Chain Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to own end-to-end Product Data Hub (PDH) Item and Bill of Materials (BOM) data governance, supporting Hard Disk Drive (HDD) manufacturing operations, subcontractor sites, and downstream planning systems. This role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and readiness across Agile PLM, PDH, and connected planning tools. The position supports planning execution, New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, BOM extensions, and continuous improvements to data quality and processes, and works closely with Buyers, NPI, IT, Engineering, Finance, and Planning teams.

Responsibilities

• PDH Item & attribute maintenance: work with Buyers to collect and maintain accurate attribute values in PDH; review and update PDH custom tables such as Agile HDD+ Part Category Mapping, Manufacturer Subcontractor Organizations, and planning attribute defaults.
• Supply Chain data maintenance: perform PDH BOM and Item Attribute overrides; manage material group filters and conversions; control alternate BOMs.
• BOM management & data governance: perform manual extension of BOMs to subcontractor and common organizations; govern BOM data quality by reviewing BOM reports, identifying mismatches, and coordinating resolution with cross-functional teams; perform daily checks of BOMs at subcontractor sites in Agile PLM.
• Planning & production support (CP / CMRP): act as a data subject matter expert for planning issues; analyze and resolve Item and BOM-related planning issues raised by Buyers and Planning teams; coordinate with NPI teams to update qualification and Plan of Record (POR) part links, support BOM requirements, and validate BOM clean-up activities.
• Project & continuous improvement: support initiatives such as new BOM structure design, native attribute creation for new programs, item and BOM readiness, and end-to-end PDH Item & BOM enhancement projects.
• Support process automation and improvements, including automation of purchasing attributes and automation of BOM extension to subcontractor sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, master/product data, planning support, or related roles; exposure to BOMs and item/master data preferred.
• Experience in high-tech, HDD, or semiconductor industries with a focus on supply chain operations is a plus.

Skills

• Experience supporting supply chain or product data planning systems (e.g., Agile PLM, PDH, APS, MRP, or equivalent).
• Ability to analyze and resolve data-driven production and planning issues; strong data validation and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Structured Query Language (SQL), and/or Python.
• Familiarity with ERP and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integrations.
• High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and proven cross-functional communication skills.
