Production Manager

About the Role

Production Manager — Location: Thailand. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence within a fast-paced production environment. The role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, optimizing resources, improving productivity, ensuring product quality, and developing high-performing teams. Requires expertise in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, production planning, quality systems, and workforce management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day production activities to ensure operational targets are achieved.
• Oversee manpower, machinery, materials, and production resources to maximize efficiency and output.
• Ensure production schedules are executed on time while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to address variances.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives; identify process improvement opportunities to increase productivity, reduce waste, and optimize labor utilization.
• Utilize tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), workflow optimization, and process standardization to improve operational performance.
• Support cost reduction initiatives through efficiency improvements and waste elimination.
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements; collaborate with Quality and Engineering to investigate and resolve production-related quality issues.
• Work with Engineering and Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability; support preventive maintenance and equipment improvement initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and operators; establish performance expectations and identify training needs.
• Promote workplace safety and environmental compliance; lead 5S and workplace organization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Automation, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of manufacturing or production management experience within a structured manufacturing environment; proven experience managing production teams and achieving operational targets.
• Industry experience in healthcare manufacturing, electronics, automotive, or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of production planning, process optimization, and manufacturing best practices.
• Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and people management, problem-solving and decision-making, proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement, strong analytical and performance management, excellent communication and stakeholder management, fluent English communication skills.
