Team Leader/Assistant Manager - Finance & Accouting

About the Role

The Team Leader, Finance & Accounting, is responsible for overseeing daily finance and accounting operations, ensuring strong financial controls, compliance with accounting standards, and accurate financial reporting. This role will lead a team of 3 members, drive process improvements, support financial analysis, and collaborate closely with internal and external auditors to ensure effective governance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance and accounting operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
• Monitor financial controls, actual performance, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide management reports to support business decision-making.
• Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve finance and accounting workflows and processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and work closely with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
• Support risk management initiatives and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3 finance and accounting professionals.
• Monitor team performance and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Foster collaboration and maintain effective communication across departments.

Systems & Reporting

• Utilize ERP and accounting software to manage financial operations and reporting.
• Ensure data integrity and system effectiveness to support business requirements.
• Participate in system enhancements and process automation initiatives where applicable.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, including experience in a Senior Accountant or Supervisor level position.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, financial controls, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Proven experience in financial analysis and management reporting.
• Prior experience leading or supervising a team is required.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Experience within an IT company, technology business, or professional services environment is a plus.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
