(Senior) Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create logical project plans, monitor project progress and update project plans.
• Drive legacy projects from tooling start to MP start.
• Drive NPD projects from prototype to MP start.
• Drive OEM to complete key milestones (tooling, FOT, EB, MB and MP) on time, on quality and on cost.
• Follow up design reviews, DFMEA’s, KPIs, product specifications, Tooling DFM, EB building, JIRA issues and action plans, DQTP testing and product compliance.
• Follow up ECN activities for VA/VE and coordinate line extension projects with internal teams and OEMs to meet launch plans.
• Work with team to qualify local suppliers for cost down and localization and summarize actual project status to Project Manager and cross-functional team.
• Develop designs that are functionally complete in a timely manner and lead Project Engineer when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in small electrical appliance or floorcare products project management.
• 3+ years’ experience in factory Engineering department, working from concept to production and VA/VE is a plus.
• University degree in a relevant subject (Engineering, mechanical design, etc.) is preferable.
• Knowledge of plastic part design and basic concept of tooling structure and molding process.
• Understanding of regulation standards such as UL, IEC and chemical requirements (ROHS, REACH, etc.).
• Familiar with MS Office tools; good command of Word, Excel and MS Project.
• Rich project management concepts and skills; PMP certification would be an advantage.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with suppliers and internal departments to achieve required outputs.
• Good analytical skills, quick learning ability, team spirit and target-oriented working style; professional, positive attitude, self-motivated, well organized and diligent.
• Fluent English in writing and speaking for communication is essential; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Can work under pressure, across different time zones, and independently with limited supervision.
