Procurement, Supply, and Installation of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Thermal Processing Machine

About the Role

Procurement, supply, and installation of an Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) thermal processing machine to be delivered to Koh Tao Community Waste Management Center. The equipment will densify EPS into high-density ingots to reduce volume for storage and maritime transport, in line with circular economy objectives.

Objectives

• Procure a high-efficiency thermal melting system for EPS (packaging, shipping, food containers).
• Reduce EPS volume via densification to lower transport and storage costs.
• Ensure environmental and occupational safety through integrated fume/odor control.
• Provide technical training for local personnel and deliver technical manuals.

Scope of Work / Responsibilities

• Supply and Delivery: manage all logistics, including maritime transport, and deliver equipment to Koh Tao within 25–30 calendar days.
• Installation and Commissioning: full system setup, performance verification testing, and ensure operational stability in the local infrastructure.
• Documentation: provide technical manuals, safety guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Training: conduct operational training for local staff and hand over user documentation.

Technical Specifications

• Target Material: Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) including industrial protective packaging, storage, shipping and food containers.
• Operating System: Thermal melting technology to convert EPS into high-density EPS ingots (processed plastic blocks).
• Power System Flexibility: equipment compatible with either Single-Phase (220V / 50Hz) or Three-Phase (380V). Proposal must state Peak Power Consumption and Start-up Current (Amperage) for the chosen configuration.
• Production Capacity: minimum processing rate 50–100 kg per hour (optimized for the proposed power configuration).
• Environmental Safety Management: propose method(s) for managing fumes and odors (integrated filtration, external ventilation, or equivalent mitigation measures).
• Safety Features: Emergency Stop button, motor overload protection, and an enclosed feeding hopper to prevent scattering of foam debris.

Delivery and Installation Timeline

• Complete supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, and staff training within 25–30 calendar days from contract signing.

Payment Terms

• First Installment (50%): payable upon contract signing and official confirmation of equipment procurement/production.
• Final Installment (50%): payable upon successful delivery, installation, commissioning, and completion of operational training.

Acceptance Criteria

• Successful conversion of EPS into high-density ingots during performance test.
• Verification of the proposed fume and odor mitigation measures to ensure acceptable operational safety and minimal local impact.
• Demonstration of stable electrical performance under the site power conditions (Single-phase or Three-phase as per accepted proposal).
• Completion of operational training and delivery of comprehensive user manuals.
