Cluster Facility Manager (Rayong, Thailand)

About the Role

The Cluster Facilities Manager will report to the APAC Head of Facilities and Operations and lead Critical Facilities teams across all data centres in Thailand (onsite, Rayong). The role ensures safe, efficient, cost-effective operations that meet customer SLAs, advances platform priorities, and improves revenue and margins through effective resource and budget management. The manager is also responsible for fiscal oversight (facility budgets, headcount, capex, opex), data-driven process improvements, and acting as an escalation point for facilities issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of data centre critical physical infrastructure to maintain high availability and performance without impacting customer operations.
• Standardize operations across sites in collaboration with leadership.
• Implement and manage Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) optimization programs.
• Provide direction and leadership of site operations teams, including hiring, development, training and discipline of operations and maintenance staff.
• Monitor workload and resources against KPIs and budget constraints while ensuring uptime.
• Initiate and manage site reviews covering maintenance standards, equipment replacement, security, change control, single points of failure, Tier adherence and operational risk.
• Drive improvement projects from conception to completion, coordinating internal and external support teams.
• Serve as escalation point for facilities-related issues and respond to out-of-hours emergency calls.
• Manage overall site capacity and participate in design activities for new facilities and infrastructure.
• Lead incident management with effective communication and coordination during customer-impacting incidents.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, health and environmental policies.
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with K2 staff and customer representatives.
• Oversee fiscal responsibilities including facility budgets and due diligence on financial activities related to headcount, capital and expenses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience working in a data centre environment, preferably with experience in development and management of data centres.
• Strong knowledge of data centre industry practices and critical facility operations.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Thai to liaise with counterparts.
• Excellent project, planning, change and time management capabilities.
• Good judgement and decision-making skills; strong organisational skills.
• Ability to use computer applications effectively.
• Calm under pressure, self-motivated, punctual, reliable and attentive to detail; able to work with colleagues and client staff at all levels.
• Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering & Electronics. Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
